Pleasurewood Hills’ new owners have exciting plans

I recently wrote about how Pleasurewood Hills had been sold by The Looping Group to Premier Attractions. A new interview with the Eastern Daily Press by the new owners teases exciting plans for the park. So let’s get into it!

Investment in 2026

The eldest of the three brothers who own Premier Attractions said there will be more rides next year, teasing 3, possibly 4.

Whilst they didn’t offer any more information on those rides I think they’ll likely be travelling-style rides given the links that the brothers have with the industry. This won’t be an unusual move for Pleasurewood Hills which had a large number of temporary rides come and go throughout the 90’s. Premier Rides actually originally leant one of the ‘retro squad’ rides to Alton Towers.

General Clean Up and Higher Performance

The interview saw the owners say that they need to fix more rides, running rides to a higher performance level and a general clean-up of the park.

This will be a welcome change after the newly refurbished Wipeout suffered downtime this year and many visitors reported the park looking tired with landscaping being poor across the park.

Hope for the Cannonball Express

I wrote about this classic Schwarzkopf coaster a while back which has been at the park for 30 years, previously being at (what is now) Plopsaland Belgium.

Premier Rides said that they know the Cannonball Express needs some work. The coaster has operated on one eight-seater train for a number of years now with the others being scrapped or used for parts and Premier stated they want to increase it’s capacity and ideally move it somewhere more prominent in the park (with council permission).

They need support!

Throughout the article Premier Rides iterated that for them to turn the park around they need support, from visitors to give them a chance and from the council to allow them to make the changes needed for the park to thrive.

Having grown up visiting this park I am so glad a company is coming in who appear to care about it and I hope they can turn it around.
