Wild Asia at Chessington to remain closed in 2025

We have been speculating that Chessington would likely to close Wild Asia at some point during 2025 ready for the new developments and the re-theming of Jungle Bus before it finds it’s new home in the new land set to open next year where Mexicana has been for many years.

However, today in a Facebook post Chessington World of Adventures have confirmed that Wild Asia will be closed for the entirety of the 2025 season.

This means the 2025 season at Chessington will see a reduced ride selection for visitors which will likely hit queue lines around the park.

Personally, this seems like an odd decision especially given planning permission for the new land which will take the place of Wild Asia has not yet been granted.

In my opinion, this confirms that 2025 is not the year to visit in to Chessington World of Adventures as between Wild Asia remaining closed and work being carried out on Mexicana the park is going to feel more like a construction zone than a theme park…I’d actually go as far as saying that unless you have small children (who the 2026 new land is going to be geared towards) you probably shouldn’t visit Chessington World of Adventures until 2027 when we see the new Minecraft land on the Wild Asia site which going to include a new roller coaster!

(As an aside to finish this blog…what does Chessington have with redeveloping the Wild Asia area of the park? In my lifetime it’s been: Circus World, Beanoland, Wild Asia and soon to be Minecraft!)
