Storing Luggage at Europa Park

In my previous post I shared how you can travel to Europa Park using public transport from the UK however, once there, what do you do with your luggage whilst at the park? This is a big thing to consider especially on check-in and check-out days. In this post I share the ways you can go about storing luggage at Europe Park, Germany during your visit.

Does Europa Park have luggage lockers?

Yes! Once you enter the gates to the park if you turn left and go past the stairs to the monorail station in the Germany themed area you’ll find lockers of various shapes and sizes. There are a large number of smaller lockers which can fit a bag roughly the size of a Ryanair carry-on cabin bag with a coat or two on top. There are also some large lockers which could quite comfortable fit a large suitcase in.

It’s worth keeping in mind that these can’t be pre-booked so are on a first-come-first served basis. The smaller lockers will cost you €1 for the day (if you need to return to get anything out you’ll need to pay again) and the large lockers are €4 for the day. The small lockers require a token which can be purchased from a vending machine near the lockers (this was broken during our visit) or from the staffed counter near the lockers where you can pay with card or cash and it’s also here you can pay for the larger lockers where you’ll be given the key.

These lockers are perfect for check-in and check-out days if you’re staying in a hotel away from Europa Park which doesn’t offer a left-luggage service and as they’re locked are a secure option.

Can I leave luggage at Europa Park Hotels?

All of the Europa Park hotels offer unsecured luggage storage for guests of the hotel to use on check-in and check-out days. These spaces a large and do have some lockers which take euros if you want a secure option but these are limited. We stayed for a night in the El Andaluz which had a large left-luggage room near the guest services desk which could be accessed by pressing a button next to the door.

Of course, luggage left here is left at the owners risk so it’s best to not leave valuables and to take passports into the park with you. I’d also recommend getting an Apple AirTag to keep in your bag so you can keep a check on it and track it if the worst was to happen.

What about other hotels?

If you’re staying elsewhere in Rust for your visit to Europa Park then you’ll need to check if your hotel offers a left-luggage facility. Larger hotels such as the Moxy in Rust offer this service but many places available to stay in Rust are smaller apartments or guest houses so won’t offer this.

For those staying in guest houses or apartments the lockers in Europa Park will be best for your trip.

Summary – The best place to store your luggage during a trip to Europa Park?

If you want to enjoy the park on your first or last day then the best place to leave your luggage is in the park’s lockers as these are secure and offer plenty of room. Of course, these are limited and whilst there was some available even during our very busy visit on the 1st November (a public holiday in Germany) you’ll want to get into the park as close to rope-drop as possible and head straight there to get your token and secure your locker.

It’s also worth making sure you have everything you need so you don’t have to pay twice and return to your locker.
